Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Oh ya, the slope up to the rose garden was kinda steep lor. And the distance is around 300-400m like that. I was panting like mad climbing it, felt like giving up.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Next, we proceeded on to the bear pit located directly outside of the town. Bern is named after a bear. The bear looks super cuddly and cute.

Photobucket

Photobucket

When the 2 bears meet.

Photobucket

We bought a bubble gum that looks like ciggy.

Photobucket

We went to watch the Bern show, a 3D show that introduces Bern, sort of similar to the one we have at The Images of Singapore.

DAY 7 - INTERLAKEN

Photobucket

Photobucket

Today is free at leisure. We stayed behind at Interlaken while other group members went on the optional tour to the top of Europe, Jungfraujoch. We didn't go cos the trip there is super expensive, and we're also visiting a snow alp in a few days time.

We took the train within the Interlaken region and went to walk around.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We wanted to take the ferry at first, but they do not have short rides.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Faye and Josh. Hahaha...

Photobucket

Photobucket

There were many parachutes.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We went for the horse carriage ride.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cheese fondue, not nice cos got white wine taste.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Meat fondue, soak meat into boiling oil water and dip into the different sauces that they provide.

Photobucket

Chocolate fondue, the nicest i ever eaten. Different from Singapore one, cos they got add in vanilla ice cream, less sweet and yummy!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Holland and Portugal fans on the street, making lots of noises.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Dear with his dad.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The grass patch used to be filled with water in the past.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Our loves and loots.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We now have couple wallets.

Photobucket

The only souvenirs i bought from Italy.

Photobucket

Snow globe for my daddy.

Photobucket

After spending the entire morning in Milan, we proceeded on with a long 5 hours bus journey to the next country, Switzerland. I was fascinated by the beautiful and majestic landforms of towering mountains, alps and fast flowing rivers along the way. The tour guide told us that 70% of Switzerland is covered with mountains. As we travelled along the mountainous roads, the slight changes in the altitudes caused our ears to have the stucky and pop-py feeling and the winding roads seemed so dangerous.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Hubby acting cute.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Nestled in a beautiful pine-forested valley surrounded by craggy peaks, the Swiss town is car free and served only by carriages and battery taxis. We squeezed into the small battery taxis to get to our Hotel.

Photobucket

Hotel Hemizeus. Swiss Cottage style of accomodation.

Photobucket

Photobucket

From our balcony.

Photobucket

We stayed in the chalet type room for 4.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Our dinner at the hotel.

I never like salads.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Look at the pathetic portion of rice.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Dear wrapped in scramble egg.

Photobucket

Switzerland's temperature was much lower than Italy's, ranging between 10-20 degree celcius, so i would look like a big fat pig wrap in winter jacket. =)

DAY 4 - VENICE

Yeaps, today we're heading to the famous Venice, studied in our secondary school social studies syllabus.

We have to take a small ferry over to the main city, where all the historical government buildings are located.

Photobucket

On the way there.

Photobucket

Finally we reached.

Photobucket

People travel by the mean of water transports, in the many small canals.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Gondolas

Photobucket

Their ancient prison.

Photobucket

Bridge of Sighs, linking the prison and the court which the prisoners have to cross.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

There got a lot of pigeons. If they got bird flu we sure die.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We visited the fine glass blowing factory.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Friday, June 20, 2008

Today we went to Century Square's Kiddy Palace to stock up $170+ worth of baby items.

Photobucket

And then i went to buy a pair of earrings and bikini to replace my old one, cos dear say the old one too exposed liao...

Photobucket

Photobucket

My tummy still not very big. 6 months + liao.

Photobucket

Lalala. And we went to watch the Incredible Hulk. Before watching the show, i was telling dear if the hulk gets excited when he wants to have sex with his gf, will he transform or not. Then, in the show, there was really this scene, too bad, he can't have sex with his gf... Poor gf. But maybe if he transform, his there will become very big leh? Hoho... Bian tai. =P

DAY 3 - SIENA TO PISA

Yes! Today we're heading to one of the 7 wonders of the world. PISA TOWER!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Wa lau, the 2 people who walked pass sucks leh...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Pisa tower appeared to be more slanted than what i expected. Overall a relaxing day.

DAY 2 - ROME TO SIENA

In the morning, we had breakfast at 7.00am in the hotel that we stayed last night. We had buffet style American breakfast, but i tell you, it was KNS... The scramble egg was so watery, like the cook vomit out de. So after eating, i decided to "cop" some hard boiled eggs, incase dear would be hungry later.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Interesting settlements over the hill top.

Photobucket

After a few hours of traveling, we finally reached Siena - One of the world's most well-preserved Medieval Italian Town. We realized that it was a super "slope-py" town. So tiring walking up and down...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The building had different head sculptures.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Dear looks like the wild boar right? Hahaha...

Photobucket

We had a stop at the stunning marble cathedral.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

And to the Piazza Del Campo, scene of Palio Horse Race.

Photobucket

The place is so clear now when there is no horse race.

Photobucket

But when there is the horse race being held, it will be super crowded.

Photobucket

Our dinner at a ulu pandan restaurant.

Tasteless soup

Photobucket

Photobucket

Super disgusting and hard pork steak, without any sauce or flavouring. Almost died eating it. A lot of people complaint to the tour guide also.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We stayed overnight in the Tuscany Region at Art Museo Hotel.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

After the 2nd day, we realized that people there prefer eating their food with the original taste, where our nightmares begin. Tasteless and hard meat, saltless fries, diluted soups, NO CHILLI SAUCE, super hard breads every meal and drinking tap water every meal.
Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Yesterday we finally came back from Europe after staying 10 days there, we went to Italy, Switzerland and Germany. There are tons and tons of photos waiting for me to upload and post them here - 700 over photos taken. We spent most of our time sight-seeing, my legs damn tired lor. The living standards there are much higher than Singapore's, so things there are super expensive, and the signs there are mostly of other languages, very hard for us to understand. The currency exchange rate are Euro2.14 to SGD1 and SwissFranc1.3 to SGD1. Mcdonalds there are super expensive, a set meal there costs nearly 10 euros or 12 swfs, but other foods there are even more expensive. Oh ya, and a can of coke costs 2euros... And Singapore is 6 hours ahead of their time. I will post the photos day by day. =)

DAY 1 - SINGAPORE TO ROME

My cute hubby with our air tickets.

Photobucket

Our vacation begins with a long 12hours flight to the capital of Italy, Rome. My 5th time taking aeroplane.

Photobucket

Finally we arrived at Rome. The temperature there was around 19 degree Celsius.

Photobucket

We proceed to our first destination.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

First stop, the famous Colosseum. One of the most magnificent monuments of ancient Rome. Built in 72AD, it once seat 50 000 spectators and was the chief circus of the Roman Empire where gladiatorial battles and other cruel glories were held. We didn't get to go inside cos of the long queue and time constrain.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

After a long long walk, we proceed on to the smallest city in the world with 900 over population located in Rome - Vetican City. We visited the world's biggest church St Peter's Basilica, the administrative and spiritual capital of Roman Catholicism. A super holy and sculptures filled church. The grand interior designs and sculptures were eyeopening.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We had the famous Italian pizza as afternoon snack. Simply delicious, and the crusts are much thinner compare to the ones we have here.

Photobucket

Photobucket

At last, after an intensive day of walking and long flight, we get to rest at a hotel - Eurostar Congress. FIY, we change hotel almost everyday.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After a day in Italy, we realized that there is no boiled water for us drink, people there drink from the tap or the expensive mineral water which costs 1-2 euros. And the cars there are super dirty like a few months never wash.

Just back from expo. Going out soon again, to have dinner. Will be leaving Singapore in 7 hours time.

Nothing much at the exhibition leh, it's pretty small, only the size of half the expo hall. Cannot find popular brands like Avent, Combi and Pigeon at all, cos i wanted to get their products. So too bad, only those diapers and medela on promotion and some other ulu pandan brand lor.

I managed to loot some cheap cheap mittens and bootes at $1 per pair.

And palmers stretch marks lotion at $19. The lotion absorbs faster than the cream one, and i always sprinkle on some baby powder over the areas that i have applied to eliminate away the stickiness. So far, i've got a super cute tiny winy 1cm stretch mark on my backside. So funny de... But i've been complaining like mad already.

I WILL BE BACK IN 12 DAYS!

MUST MISS ME K?

I WILL MISS SINGAPORE BADLY!
Wednesday, June 4, 2008
