Last night i caught baby holding on to her pacifier, scared she drops her pacifier. Actually i don't like giving her pacifier de, but no choice cos sometimes she cries for no reason but not very often la.
And today afternoon she started kicking all over, exposing her sexy legs even though we swaddle her tightly. But i think the new nanny dunno how to swaddle her properly so her hands and legs everytime escape.
Baby also did a stunt today. She was sleeping vertically, but after awhile we found her sleeping 90 degrees horizontally.
Thanks mommies for the tips, i managed to burp her after all her feeds last night. And i did it all by myself last night! Yeah! I think i'm a bit tired. Gotta rest now!
Oh ya, these few days never take much pictures of baby cos in the day time she rarelys open her eyes big big. Everytime open 1 side only. Haha, will try to capture more beautiful photos when i have the time. BB~

Yesterday was horrendous, worse when it was at night. The confinement lady left swiftly after my mil broke the news (asking her to leave) to her, and straight after she left, baby had been crying and refused to sleep until finally late in the evening i managed to coax her to sleep for awhile. But in the middle of the night (the first time dear and i managed her all by ourselves), she kept waking up and cry. I'm super shagged lor, gotta wake up pump milk, and attend to her when she cries, when i haven't learnt much thing yet. I've decided to pump lesser milk (but still a lot, 160ml-180ml) each time and i think i will stop breastfeeding after 1 month (if not i ownself take care sure super busy de still have to do housework all that, plus my breast will be too big to fit into normal clothings, i'm a freaking 36D now). And ya, we have problem burping her cos we wasn't taught proper burping. Any mommies got ways to make your baby burp fast? Hais... Dear gotta go work and go make baby's birth certificate in the morning, and yet he gotta wake up also. Poor thing, :( i feel so lousy.
The new day time confinement lady came just now. She doesn't know how to use the sterilizer, so i gotta do it myself liao, i have no choice but to touch water wash the milk bottles and breast pumps. Hais... Confinement sucks. I'm itching whole day, can't fall asleep at night, cos of the itchiness all over my body. Still got 19 more days to go... Sighs

Q & A
1. What is the bill size? Ans : Hospital bill was around 3.5k, but plus baby's consultation fees at the clinic and my consultation fees total around 4 plus k. Raising a baby is really expensive!!!
2. Is it painful? Ans : The contractions was super painful, like menstrual cramps but 20 times more painful. For C-sect, the first time when you leave your bed to walk it's super duper painful, like someone trying to slice you with a knife. The first few days was torturous. Now still a bit pain, but quite mild. Oh ya, can't sneeze or cough or laugh if not will be uber painful also.
3. Does the Laughing Gas helps? Ans : For me it does, but i think it varies among people. Some people hate the feeling. Initially i hate it, but the pain was too overwhelming already.

BEING A MOM IS NOT EASY
Now i finally understand the pain of being a mother. The labour pain that we have to go through, and the heartaches when we see our baby suffers.
Oh ya, i would like to share my agony (Did i used the right word?). On the day when i was discharged, dear drove us all the way to Woodlands to fetch the confinement lady back home. When i first saw her, i didn't like her at all, she looks all sweaty and has super oily curly hair. Okay, so when we reached our house downstairs, she immediately offered (but in some way demanded) to hold the baby for me. She was all sweaty and smelly! OMG. Baby face was directly at her armpit lor. =(
Not only that when we came home, she didn't even bathe despite her sweatiness and proceeded on to attend to my poor baby. I see liao super heart pain, i told dear about it and he agrees with me. Never mind, we continued to observe her for past few days and realized that she never wash hands before she touches baby, and she has the habit of scratching her feet (I hate people who do this, i'm super sensitive to this action).
Also, her cooking sucks, she cooks soup that is tasteless, same type of vegetables everyday, almost the same food for dear to eat everyday and he always ends up with stomaches, and the food that she cooks for me doesn't even have a certain standard (I understand that confinement food is like that one, but at least must be a bit better ma, the hospital confinement food taste superb lor). From a conversation that we overheard her having with another auntie in the clinic, she told her that her mindset of confinement food is "can eat can liao". WTF?! We're paying her to be dirty and cook disgusting food for us? She doesn't know how to iron clothes properly also.
In addition, she loves to nag at me a lot and giving me faces. Keep asking me to sit and lie down, when i'm supposed to walk more (of cos must also rest sometimes), to help my wound heal faster. And she thinks that blowing fan is okay for me, and baby shouldn't wear yellow clothes, if not will have jaundice. Wa lau, what kind of logics are these?
Although she cleans up the house and washes clothes quite regular, her hygiene when she handles baby and her cooking is enough for us to sack her, and yes we're doing so at the end of this week. We're switching to a day time confinement lady soon, which means i have to wake up in the night to attend to baby, a bit sad, but well, i have to learn sooner or later. =)
Anyway due to my high milk production, i have to be super hardworking to pump out my breast milk every 4 hours, even in the middle of the night. If i don't i will end up with super engorgement (super hard and painful) and ultra leakage. When baby cry, my breasts will leak also. I can produce up to 200ml of milk each pumping session, and i feel that it's the 4 hours thingy that is tiring me out now (I've already tried to lenghten the interval from 2-3 hours to 4 hours le). =( I hate it, but there's not choice, for the sake of baby.
These few days dear is also super tired out, he still has to go work everyday, and entertain guests. With 2 babies at home, he has to work harder. Poor dear, he lost some weight too (Which is good for him). It hurts me to see both my darling suffer. ='( And after giving birth, i realized that i love dear much more and i'm super emotional.
Okay enough of my long winded story. Photo time!
Trying to wink!
Oh?
Smiling =)
I've got dimples!
Yawns big big

BIRTH STORY
12 September 2008 03.00pm-06.00pm Went for weekly gynae appointment, doctor did a CTG scan for baby's heartbeat and my contractions. Baby's heartbeat was a bit sleepy and her weight was a bit too light for her no. of weeks. Doc say come back next week then see how, maybe he will induce me. So we went to Chinatown to get my confinement herbs thingy.
06.00pm-09.30pm Ate our specially ta bao de Nasi Lemak from Chong Pang for dinner, slacked, watched TV. When i came home i was still busy taking photos of my 37weeks tum tum.
13 September 2008 09.30pm-01.00am We started to notice that baby was moving none stop. And i started to feel slight contractions without pain for every 5 minutes. We were thinking something may not be right, so i called doc's hot line and he say admit to the hospital if have pain. But the pain was so mild as if non existence, so we decided not to in case it was false alarm and continued sleeping.
01.00am-06.00am I was too worried to sleep well, kept waking up. Hubby's alarm clock rang, so i woke up together with him, cos i started to feel a bit more painful, but it was still counted as minimal. I thought maybe i wanted to shit, so i went to try but to no avail.
06.00am-07.30am Went back to bed to lie down, but the 5 minutes contractions continued. Hubby called doctor to tell him that we're admitting to the hospital and i went to bathe for the last time.
07.30am-08.30am Hubby ordered Mcdonald's, while waiting packed my hospital bags at the very last minute, ate and left home for Mount Alvernia.
08.30am-01.00pm Reached hospital, proceeded to the delivery suite to lie on bed, was shaved and given enema to pass motion. The enema was super painful, my face immediately changed. The checking of the cervix dilation wasn't as painful as i thought, just a bit of discomfort. I was just 1.5cm dilated. I was still in the mood of smsing my friends telling them that they can visit me tomorrow and dear was keeping himself entertained by playing his psp.
01.00pm-01.30pm Finally after waiting for 3 hours doctor arrived, he read the CTG graph scan and concluded that my contractions were very regular, whereas the bad thing was baby's heartbeat was sleepy. Doctor decided to induce me with the drip. Catheter was inserted as well, it was super uncomfortable cos the nurse didn't put in properly. Was still 1.5cm dilated.
01.30pm-03.00pm Continued to observe baby's heartbeat and contractions. Contractions started to get more and more regular, and more painful. Almost every minute. Dilated till 3cm only.
03.00pm-04.00pm Contractions intensified. My face started to change. At first i thought i would have high pain threshold level, but i'm wrong! I cannot tahan those super painful menstrual cramps like feelings. I started to call for help wanting to opt for epidural, but a nurse checked me telling me that i was already 6cm dilated advised me to use the laughing gas, as she said she used it for all her pregnancies. I listened and started to sniff in the gas, and guess what, i was super addicted to it. I started to have hallucination and all the sounds around me started to repeat as though i was hearing techno. The feeling was super high and it relieved me from all the pain.
04.00pm-05.30pm Continued sniffing, doctor finally came at around 5.30pm. He checked me and told me that i was still 3cm dilated. So that means the previous nurse was wrong! Omg. I sniffed the gas until i super siao liao, i totally dunno what the hell i doing also. The drip level was increased.
05.30pm-06.30pm Continued with my addiction. Lost control of myself.
06.30pm-07.00pm Totally dunno what the hell happened to me, i surrender. In a semi-conscious state, i told dear that i bth liao, i rather choose operation. Dear see liao super heart pain, so he went to inform the nurse and i was being prepared to be wheeled to the operation theatre.
07.00pm-07.45pm Wheeled to the operation theatre. I was shivering. Put to sleep, and at 7.45pm baby was out in the world!
07.45pm-08.15pm Dear was happily enjoying taking naked photos of baby and pushing her to the nursery, whereas i was still in the operation theatre while the doctor finished up his sucking and stitching.
Birth Time : 1945hrs Birth Weight : 2.29kg Birth Length : 45.5cm Head Circumference : 31cm
08.15pm-10.00pm I was being wheeled to my ward as dear welcomed me. I was still feeling quite drowsy. I didn't get to see baby until the next day as her temperature and sugar level was low, have to put her under the lights and feed her with formula till her sugar level rises. Dear went home.
THE END OF MY BIRTH STORY

Hope this tag would bring back lovely memories of Yesterday...and hmm, after the question 12, if your answer dates more than 24 hours ago, it's time to go over to your hubby or wife, give him or her a great big hug and a kiss!
=) I would like to tag DAW cos the rest of the mommies kena tagged already.
In continuation of the above tag, i would like to share the story about how we first met (Sorry it will be kinda long).
I still remember the place we first met was at Tampines Pavilion, cos i was working at the lan shop there back in year 2005 after my O'levels for a couple of weeks.
On the first few days of work, someone called to book com, i answered the phone and told him that here cannot book com de, not knowing that he and the auntie working with me very shu one. LOL... So he who was on the other end on the phone was like WTF #!*@#^*@#, which new siao eh working sia, of cos he never say out la. Okay, so he came down and complain to the auntie working with me. The auntie then told me that he very special de, next time he call and book com, must help him book and he no need put his ic when he play game. I was like, oh okay......... From then on i notice that he almost everyday come down play game, so damn fcuking free lor. And he everytime come must flirt with the auntie. =P LOL... No la, he's just trying to be friendly. Eeee...
Me and the auntie like to gossip a lot so she was telling me, he is a good guy, if she was young like me, she would want him as her bf. LOL???? I still remember got one time i saw the shaker fries advertisement on the newspaper, then i told the auntie i want to eat, so she went to tell him i want to eat when he came to play game, and in the end he went to buy for me and coffee for the auntie to drink. So "nice" right? Haha...
One day, i decided to change job cos the working hours there is a bit short, so i arranged for a job interview at Pavilion downstairs. The auntie scared i ownself go very dangerous, so she asked him to follow behind. In the lift down, he offered to give me his number, so that i could call him in case anything happen. Guess what i replied? I said, you want my number then say la, no need use this method de. Hahahaha... So bhb as usual. So his mind flashed the WTF #@&!#&%#@, this siao eh again. Haha...
The next day auntie and i were bored cos lan shop in the morning not much people de. So he came to our mind. We decided to disturb him on the phone. Auntie gave me his number, and i smsed him. Obviously he was awaken by my sms, the third time WTF #@#&@*@#* which siao eh, sms me so early in the morning flashed across his mind. Okay, so from then on we kept in contact and we went out dating secretly. =X
That time Chicken Little was about to show in the cinema, auntie and i was crazy over the little chicken and we even downloaded its' desktop buddy to see it dance on our counter de computer. So dear saw, and he went to buy a talking Chicken little to pian xiao mei mei. I still remember when i was about to board his dad's car, i saw Chicken Little sitting in the front seat. It was so cute, so he successfully pian-ded me. Eeyer... Can't imagine i fell for his trap. (*>.<*) That day i went back home to dig out the Chicken Little he gave me 3 years ago. It was also the first gift from him.
Actually our story very long de, this is only part 1, but i lazy to type out the rest le. I still remember all the first time we had together, lalala, catching movies and stuffs.
Anyway, to my surprise, the result on lovecalculator.com shows that we have a super duper high 99% chance of being successful. Does that mean 99% chance of fertility hit rate too? Haha.
FIY, under the disclaimer it states that "It's not possible to get a hundred per cent probability" does this means that i can conclude that he is the most compatible person for me?

Your Pregnancy: Week 37 Your baby is officially baked this week! That means you could literally give birth at any given moment. A terrifying, exciting and overwhelming concept, all rolled into one. Your partner is undoubtedly having the same emotional roller-coaster ride, so be sure to share your feelings and enjoy these last weeks (days?! hours?!) together.
Your Baby Huge news this week: You're carrying a full-term baby! If you were to go into labor today, all systems would be a go. Woohoo! Even though you can't wait for the little bambino to quite literally rear his head, keep in mind that your bun benefits from every day in the oven. Other ticker-tape-worthy developments.
Baby's growth slows down dramatically this week, which is great news for your birth canal. Her bones are still soft and pliable and will solidify after she's born. More great news for your birth canal.
So if she's all cooked and ready to go, what the heck is she still doing in there?! She's busy practicing for "life on the outside," working on her breathing, sucking, sleeping, gazing and peeing abilities. The only thing she can't practice yet is her ability to scream at the top of her lungs when she's hungry—but she'll do plenty of that in a few weeks.
Last week's checkup We went for gynae's appointment last Saturday. Baby has grown so huge, that she's now in a very awkward position, all curl up. Doctor had a hard time trying to capture her thighs or tummy to estimate her weight. So my doctor in the end anyhow anyhow measure, and gave us a damn light estimated weight of 2kg. So light lor, sure is he measure wrongly. Louya leh him. He used the scanner to roll over my tummy for quite a long time, first time he scan so long lor. Dear kan chiong thought baby got problem. Anyway, baby's position is still head down, and her four limbs are now facing inwards le, exactly like the position shown in the diagram above. My next appointment would be next week.
We're all ready for the battle!
Baby's cot and stroller have arrived on Saturday.
Daddy Tay will be in charge of putting on the cot bedding set and mozzie net, sterilizing of the milk bottles with the new sterilizer, contacting the confinement lady and announcing of the baby's birth when i am admitted into the hospital. He will be a busy man. Dear friends, if you would like to give us baby gifts, please ask us what we need. =)
Just 19 more days to go!
And say goodbye to our 二人世界
I shall enjoy baby's last few movements inside my tummy before she pops out, i am sure i would miss it. Last night i was busy trying to catch her fist before falling asleep. When she punches somewhere i will press on it until she disappears, and she would pop out somewhere else again, and i will press on it again. I think i spent around 10 minutes playing catching with her, before she finally stops moving.

Lantern Festival 2008 at Chinese Garden
Yeapie! We went to Chinese Garden Lantern Fantasy 2008 featuring F8 - Hello Kitty Go Races! There is fireworks every Saturday thus we managed to catch the pretty display. There were lots of big big lantern displays of different Sanrio characters, with my favorite Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel and Kerokeropi. Unfortunately it rained (luckily after we watched the fireworks) during our walk out of the garden, dear had to run in the rain, back to his car to take an umbrella to come and fetch me. Overall, i enjoyed watching the very very short fireworks display, i was fascinated by all the beautiful, colourful and cute Sanrio lanterns and was perspiring like mad all over, such a tiring walking journey. People must be thinking i siao de, 9 months pregnant still go walk this type of thing, ya lor, i was damn tired after everything.
I look so fat.
Love Keropi!

Nowadays fun fair got this type of thing. Like watching human hamsters playing...

Hello Kitty is the overall winner of the F8 race
The lantern that i bought this year.
We went to buy Da Zhong Guo's mooncakes after i went for gynae's appointment in the morning. First time eating this famous brand. Not too sweet, got a bit of bitter taste. Dear bought one box to give my daddy also.
The only photo that we took together that day.

CONGRATS TO MY BELOVED TINGG
FOR GIVING BIRTH!!!! =D
When will be my turn?
♥
Monday, September 1, 2008
How your baby's growing: Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.)
How different am i feeling now: - More pimples out of a sudden - Heartbeat sometimes very fast (really damn damn fast that kind) - A little water retention at my toes - More tired
It's Monday again. Gonna stay at home for the rest of the weekdays again. Today i finally washed the first batch of baby's clothes. Was trying to figure out how am i supposed to hang out all of it, cos i have phobia and no strength to bring out the bamboo sticks. It's so heartwarming to see those tiny clothings, and it seems weird washing clothes for someone whom you have never seen before. Oh my, i still got 3 more batches to go, more clothes, cloth nappies, bedding sets.
36 weeks tum tum.
*It's finally the long awaited September! Over 20 babies are out on the September Singaporemotherhood forum thread already. So exciting, can't wait for my turn, but i'm at the back of the queue. Oh my oh my, i'm 9 months pregnant already. Time flies, just 1 more month and she will be out, can't imagine if she were to come out earlier than my edd. I sure chua sai, cos i'm a tiny winy bit not prepared to be a mum. However on a brighter side, i can't wait to lose weight after pregnancy, start shopping for pretty clothes and to look like my normal self once again (i miss my nose, eyebags, smaller boobs). Hahaha... But being pregnant is such a good excuse to be lazy.
<3 hubby and baby To dear: Won't you be proud if you have a pretty wife and pretty baby? So you should know what to do yeah?
